Dementia Awareness
We are supporting Dementia Awareness Week. Know the signs. Get support Early.
Worried about memory changes?
It is normal to feel concerned if you notice changes in memory, thinking, or behaviour. These changes can happen for many reasons, but it is important to get advice early.
We encourage you to:
- Speak to a GP if you are worried
- Use simple checklists to track any changes
- Get support for yourself or someone you care for
Dementia can affect people under 65
Dementia is not only linked to older age.
Some people develop symptoms before the age of 65.
Early signs may include:
- Changes in memory
- Difficulty concentrating
- Changes in mood, behaviour, or personality
Getting help early can:
- Help you access support sooner
- Reduce worry and uncertainty
- Make it easier to plan care
